Firemen forced to catch buses in 999 responses |

Council officials today defended their plan to issue monthly bus passes to it's Fire Department as part of the Councils 'Let's Go Green' initiative.
 
Local Leeds residents voiced their anger and disdain over new council decisions to send fire responses out by bus. Maurice Twatt, Leeds City Council Emergency Services Coordinator said that 'we all have to help protect the environment and save the planet.' This is just our way of 'doing our bit', he said. It is currently part of a 6 month feasibility study but the initial findings are looking promising. However concern is been drawn by residents who argue that it could cause injury and loss.

Local school dinner lady Beryl Popcherry said, "I'm slightly aggrieved and considering stern words with the council, I called the fire brigade at 4.30pm yesterday after a bit of a mishap with some matches and a tank of petrol, anyways, suffice to say, the whole bloody place went up like a bonfire. Six hours it were, 'afore the buggers turned up. Nowt but a smouldering pile of rubble, that's all that's left of our pride and joy! said a disgruntled fat coucil estate scumbag, flicking the V's and moaning about 'kin taxes and 'kin gets wi' cars and stuff... submitted by Boz
